Dear mama,
Last night, I couldn’t sleep. You didn’t read me a bedtime story! You said you were too stressed from work. I don’t know what stress means, but thank you for the extra cuddles. I felt sooooo much better! At least I know you’re not angry anymore.
I keep thinking about the milk I spilled during breakfast. I knew you were mad because you did the loud voice and walked away. Lola told me that it was okay and that you were just tired from all the cooking and cleaning.
I’m so sorry, mama. I didn’t mean to make a mess and make you clean more. I want to help you, mama. I want to make you feel better the way you make me feel better, too!
Maybe I can read you one of our favorite books! Do you remember the story about making wishes? I really like that one. It said that if I close my eyes really tight and make a wish with all my heart, it will come true!
Papa told me about mother’s day and said that we should do something special for you. I think the most special thing that I can do is make a lot of wishes for you.
Mama, I wish you can have more of your favorite coffee so that everyday, you have more energy to do more things you like!
I wish that you can have more time! So you can watch your favorite shows on TV and relax on the big sofa. You can watch whatever you like. I promise not to make you watch Frozen again.
I wish you have more makeup to play with! I know you love putting all the pretty colors on your face. I promise to not open your drawers anymore and I will just watch you this time.
I wish you can go out with your friends! Playing with my friends always made me happy so I know you will have so much fun, too. I promise not to cry when you leave. But please promise to bring home pasalubong, ok?
I wish you won’t be so tired all the time, mama. And even though I’m not sure what it means yet, I really wish that your stress will go away, too! So that we can always have story times before bed, lots of hugs and kisses, and more singing and dancing.
Thank you, mama! For always making me happy. I will keep wishing more things for you, mama! Until they all come true. When you are happy, I am happy, too!
I love you, forever and ever.
Love,
Your baby
